Bob Sima
“The highest aim of our music is to reveal the essence of the universe it reflects.”
~Ravi Shankar

Mysticism Meets Music
Bob brings you to the present moment with very little distraction, just impactful lyrics and a guitar. Every song imparts a mystical quality. It is a hypnotic “song bath”, where the messages land unencumbered on the heart. His concerts go from foot stomp to pin drop, often in the middle of a song. This music is not for the passive listener; it beckons for more.
“Everyone needs to hear Bob’s song Be the Change.”
— Marianne Williamson, Author & Presidential Candidate
"I dare anyone to see Bob perform and NOT walk away feeling inspired to love the world just a little bit better."
— Ray Proetto
“My favorite things are spirituality and transformation, learning and development, and the creative/musical arts. With Bob Sima you have it all. Joy and delight always come with great performances, but with Bob Sima there is more. This is an artist that inspires reflection and revelation, relaxation and insight and left brain/right brain synergy. After a Bob Sima event (I would call it an event, not a concert), you feel you have touched sacred depths, been uplifted by positive vibrations, and been immersed in an experience you wish all the world could have. I hope Bob keeps spreading these profound experiences, these messages and his music.”
“Each and every song is a master class in spirituality and life.”
— OM Times
“Bob is picking up where John Lennon left off.”
— Americana Community Music Association
“In three minutes from the stage he communicated via song what took me an hour to say in my talk.”
— Dr Guy Reikman, Former President of Life University

Bob Sima is an award-winning singer-songwriter based in Rockledge FL. In 2013 he began touring nationally after leaving behind a corporate career to pursue his purpose. With no formal musical training, he independently released 10 albums with a fierce determination to make a difference in people’s lives. He built a national following one concert at a time. Without a record label or manager, his music serves thousands of lives with spiritually-rich musical nourishment.
Bob and his wife, Shannon Plummer — a life coach, singer, writer, and speaker — travel and perform as a musical duo. They also steward a non-profit called Where the Light Gets In Ministries (WTLGI). WTLGI is charged with offering transformational music to places it is needed the most. Together they also facilitate personal development retreats. The music is also creatively woven into workshop format where the songs become guides or complements for experiential exercises that help open growth pathways for participants.
His songwriting is laser-focused on the human experience, inner work, wonder, meaning, and living a conscious existence. He writes each song as self-prescribed medicine. He consumes it first, then prescribes it to others. Along with his alternative writing path, his song craft is familiar and inviting. He leads his audience on a journey of self-discovery.
Bob’s concerts are less of a performance and more experiential in nature, often weaving intentional silences and meditative moments to allow the song’s messages to land fully. It has been said that his concerts go from pin drop to foot stomp.
Cross multiple genres and communities, his songwriting awards include:
Grand Prize at Wildflower Songwriting Contest,
Kerrville New Folk two-time Finalist,
Finalist at Mountain Stage Live Round,
American Songwriter Magazine Contest Finalist,
Global Peace Song Contest Winner,
Six-time Positive Music Award Winner

A tad more about Bob
Bob Sima (pronounced sEYE-ma) is to music what Wayne Dyer, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Eckhart Tolle are to books and Rumi, Hafiz, and David Whyte are to poetry. He is a troubadour, a way-shower, a guide, an awakener, and a musical mystic through the medium of melody. His music bridges daily life and soul consciousness, the eternal with the now through instantly accessible songs that take up residence and resonance in your soul. When Sima opens his mouth to sing, what emerges is far beyond the human sounds of his warm and soulful voice. He speaks the language of the Universe, the language of the soul, the language of the heart. He’s not just singing to his audience. He is the musical navigation that guides people to reconnect to themselves and to each other. The music that comes through him will vibrate with your spirit exactly where you are.
THE SONGWRITER, Bob Sima, through the eyes of Shannon Plummer:
Bob often refers to the music as “our music”, giving me much more credit than I deserve. He is the songwriter with zero input from me and I would not have it any other way. I remind him of this at times because I feel it is important to honor the role that we each steward in recognizing and accepting and sharing the gifts bestowed upon and through us. That said, I am honored that I can sprinkle harmonies into his creations and one of my favorite things is to perform in concert with him. Why? Because I need his reminders as much as anyone else! I have never seen anyone who can translate the emotions of every day experiences with such poetic justice as Bob Sima. I am fortunate to be an observer to his creative process that continually, tirelessly, and relentlessly births new ideas into songs that could be as secular or as sacred as you - the listener - wish them to be. I witness Bob’s full spectrum of creativity on a daily basis. Sometimes it is the simplest transaction that inspires a four-day songwriting project that finally catches up with his unstructured, informal, “untrained" style. Other times I watch the most complex or controversial human challenges call forth a 10-minute, performance-ready transcription of a song. How he gets to the end result is less important than what he allows himself to feel in either scenario. From an outsider’s opinion, Bob’s “why” is based on his desire to share the transformative energies of life’s questions, rather than to focus on the unresolved energies of the moment that created the question. The beauty for the listener is that his lyrics will find a place to your heart. Period. You then possess the ability to hold the messages at the surface and enjoy a catchy tune while you drive around town or to allow the messages to penetrate the depths of your heart and inspire action as your own activated truth.
